The Sage Experience

What to Expect

At SAGE you will love our professional, friendly space where your treatment will be customised to meet your individual needs.

Our clinic is spotlessly clean, hygiene is a priority! Freshly laundered & sanitised towels are guaranteed per individual client.

Please aim to arrive 10 minutes early so that you can relax in our welcome lounge, help yourself to our complimentary tea bar, begin to unwind and prepare physically and mentally to enjoy your ‘time out’.

I wanted to create a professional, mindful space to improve the quality of life of others. Having been a Remedial therapist myself, I understand the needs of both clients & therapists.

As a survivor of Lyme Disease, I know what it is like to live with chronic pain, as well as a long list of other ailments. It affects everything. It changes you. I learned that our wellbeing is at the core of our interactions with others and the way we experience life. There is nothing more important, so I am grateful to play a part in restoring the wellbeing of others.

Bringing together a team of therapists and reception staff who genuinely care for and support each other and our clients was my priority – as well as a good dose of fun!

Our clients can feel that energy when they walk through the door. We care about your individual outcome and aim to have everyone leave feeling much better than when they walked in!

Your Massage

Massage sessions are structured as follows:

  • 1hr massage = 50mins hands-on
  • 1.5hr massage = 80mins hands-on
  • 2hr massage = 110mins hands-on

This allows for 5 minutes before the massage for consultation, assessment and undressing, then 5 minutes after your massage for discussing future treatment needs, stretching advice, hot towel service and redressing.

Please advise your therapist of any medical history or current medication before they commence your treatment.

Minors under the age of 18 require a signed consent form from their parent or guardian.

Children under 16yrs are required to have a parent/guardian present in the room.

Any personal or medical information you provide is Private & Confidential and as such, will not be shared without your written consent.

Your therapist will tailor your massage just for you so please discuss what areas you would like focused on & what areas to leave out – full body massage cannot be performed in 50mins unless Relaxation/Swedish only.

Consider an optional oil upgrade to enhance your experience – Aromatherapy, Kutus or Sports – $10 members / $15 non-members.

After a brief discussion about your requirements, you will be left to undress.

Underpants are required so if you have forgotten yours please ask for a free disposable pair.

Lay face down on the massage table (unless otherwise instructed) & cover yourself with towel provided.

Time to Relax

Get comfortable on freshly sanitised towels, exhale, use your breath to relax & release.

Temperature, lighting & sound are all adjustable so let your therapist know how to adjust for you.

Your therapist will drape your towels to respect your privacy & uphold the strict massage association code of ethics.

Please give feedback to your therapist about pressure so they get it just right for you.

Check your breathing? For muscle release, it’s a powerful tool for letting go & facilitating release.

Feeling chatty? A little is okay, but silence calms the nervous system & facilitates muscle release.

To finish you will be offered a complimentary hot towel to remove any excess oil or you may choose to leave the oil to absorb for maximum benefit.

It is easy & FREE to join after your massage at reception or online.

Reschedule and Cancellation of Appointments

Please reschedule or cancel your appointment without charge up until 24hrs before appointment.

Unfortunately, as we pre-schedule therapists for individual appointments, a late cancellation will incur a fee of 50% treatment cost and a no-show will incur the full cost of the session. Consider sending a friend or family member in your place to avoid a fee and treat a loved one.
